Date Set. Apocalypse to Follow

Just received the following news release from Rideau Hall:

January 26, 2006

OTTAWA – Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, met with the Prime Minister designate, the Honourable Stephen Harper, this morning at 10:00 a.m. During the meeting, it was agreed that Mr. Harper would be sworn in as Canada’s 22^nd Prime Minister, along with his Cabinet, on February 6, 2006.

This is only a couple days after this guy finishes his work and releases a second report. The sponsorship program/scandal seems to be the bookends of the Martin Prime Ministership. He cancelled the program on his first day in office. He'll get to read what he should have done on one of his last. History is a stern taskmistress it appears.
